Our beginner kits take the guesswork out of starting to keep your own hive. Most beginner beekeepers start with the National - the most popular hive here in the UK. Easy to expand, the hive’s perfect for budding beekeepers as you’ll be free to add space to your hive as your confidence grows. Our National Starter Kits include everything you need to start your beekeeping journey.

All of our hives are made from the finest quality Western Red Cedar. Imperfections and knots are discarded, so you will receive a top-quality product that will last for many years.

All our Foundation is made at our Devon Factory.  We are the only manufacturer in the UK to steralise our foundation.  This is done by bringing the wax up to a temperature of 125 degrees centigrade and holding there for 1 hour.  This process gives you the reassurance that all  known pathogens including Nosema and Foul Broods have been eliminated.  We wire our foundation sheets with a high grade 0.315mm stainless steel wire.

    CARRIAGE CHARGES

    Delivery to England, Scotland & Wales. Excluding Highlands & Islands

    We currently use Royal mail 48 for small parcels and DPD 24 hour service for all other deliveries. DPD provides a Follow My Parcel service, supplying you with a one hour time window via email or SMS and allowing you to track your parcel. Please ensure you supply an email address and mobile number when placing an order to use this service. Contact details are also useful if we have any queries regarding your order. Carriage costs are calculated on the finished packed weight of your order as follows:-

    Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight and Scilly Isles

    All orders will incur a £16.00 surcharge. A 48 hour service is used for these destinations.

    Northern Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey and outside the UK. Please call or email us for further information.

    PAYMENT WITH ORDER

    Credit/Debit cards are debited at the time of ordering.

    Cancellation. If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us on 0344 326 2010. Calls will cost the same as calling a standard landline number. You have the right to cancel your order any time up to 14 days after receipt.

    You must take reasonable care of the goods whilst in your possession and they must be returned to us promptly at your cost. If the item is large, then we can arrange collection. There will be a charge. We reserve the right to cancel any order. We are under a legal duty to supply goods that are in conformity with the contract.
